Indeed, it&#8217;s not far from your campsite! We recommend this lovely walk, full of discoveries. On foot or by bike, you&#8217;ll discover the salt-rich landscapes and exceptional biodiversity. So enjoy your discovery!    <\/p><div class=\"columns\"><div class=\"columns__item\" style=\"align-self:center;\"><h2>Location of Salins d&#8217;Hy\u00e8res<\/h2><p>Let&#8217;s talk about its geographical location. The Salins d&#8217;Hy\u00e8res is a remarkable natural site, designated as a &#8220;<em>wetland of international importance<\/em>&#8220;. It comprises two sites:  <\/p><p id=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/blog\/la-route-du-sel-une-route-mythique\/\">Firstly,<strong> Les Vieux Salins<\/strong>: old<strong> salt<\/strong> works that run along the coast for almost 3 kilometers to the east of Hy\u00e8res (Saint-Nicolas district). Visits are free of charge.<br\/>Next, <strong>Le Salin des Pesquiers<\/strong> is located in the central part of the double tombolo of the Giens peninsula. This site is accessible by <a href=\"https:\/\/paca.lpo.fr\/sorties-nature\/ou-aller\/var\/salins-hyeres\/visite-grand-public#:~:text=D&#039;une%20dur%C3%A9e%20de%202h,au%2004.94.01.09.77.\" rel=\"noopener\">guided tour<\/a> only. Over 300 plant species have been identified, including the sand lily, orchids and the maritime panicaut. These environments provide an essential habitat for numerous species, enabling biodiversity to flourish.
