You&#8217;ll find <strong>plenty of hiking opportunities<\/strong>, as well as a wealth of <strong>Hy\u00e8res culture<\/strong>. The historic center awaits you. Discover the town&#8217;s<strong>medieval history<\/strong> and magnificent culture.   <\/p><div class=\"columns\"><div class=\"columns__item\"><h2>The Villa Noailles<\/h2><p>Architect Robert Mallet-Stevens built this magnificent masterpiece from 1923 to 1925. He was later helped by local architect L\u00e9on David to extend the building until 1933. This architectural beauty was commissioned by the <strong>Viscount de Noailles<\/strong> and his wife, who never ceased to expand it. Today, it boasts 60 rooms, as well as a private swimming pool, squash court and gymnasium.   <\/p><p>The villa backs onto the <strong>hill of the old ch\u00e2teau<\/strong> and offers two magnificent gardens. The first, a large <strong>Mediterranean garden<\/strong>, was planted by the viscount himself. The second, a <strong>cubist garden<\/strong>, was planted in 1925.  <\/p><p>In 1973, the town of Hy\u00e8res acquired this jewel and listed it as a <strong>historic monument<\/strong> in 1975. Unfortunately, it was abandoned for many years. <\/p><p>It was sold to the municipality in 1973 and listed as a historic monument in 1975. Restoration began in 1987. In the 14th century, it was further developed. There was a main building, a barn and a cellar. There was also a mill and an oven.   <\/p><p>The <strong>only remaining vestige of<\/strong> this monument is the tower. Ceded to the municipality in 1673, it underwent various alterations from 1765 onwards. Listed as <strong>a historic monument<\/strong> since March 30, 1987, it is now used as an <strong>exhibition space<\/strong>. The observatory was set up and is maintained by an <strong>association of amateur astronomers<\/strong>.   <\/p><p>The land on which it was built gave it its name: <strong>Pic des f\u00e9es<\/strong>. It was built by the <strong>Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Astronomique Hy\u00e9roise Amateur<\/strong>. The observatory is very well equipped.    <\/p><p>A <strong>full range of astronomy equipment<\/strong> is available.
