Toulon is a city in southeastern France. The village is located in the Var department of the Provence Alpes C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur region.  <\/p><p>The local population is known as Captois. The town is famous for its airport, port and Fondue Tower. The latter is the departure point for the Hy\u00e8res islands. The village abounds in pine, mimosa, agave and eucalyptus trees. It is located in one of Hy\u00e8res&#8217; 14 districts. The hamlet of <strong>La Capte<\/strong> is located on <a href=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/en\/blog\/walks-on-the-presquile-of-giens-var\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/blog\/promenades-sur-la-presquile-de-giens-var\/\">the Giens peninsula<\/a>, 5 km from the <a href=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/en\/clairdelune\/welcome\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/clairdelune\/accueil\/\">Clair de Lune campsite in Hy\u00e8res<\/a>. The hamlet takes its name from the seawater catchment canal. It was used during the salt industry. Today, more than half the hamlet is urbanized.     <\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"columns\"><div class=\"columns__item\"><h2>La Capte: beaches and entertainment<\/h2><p><strong>La Capte<\/strong> is famous for its 4 km-long sandy beach. The water is shallow, so every member of the family can enjoy it to the full. The beach of <strong>the Capte pine forest<\/strong> extends over 20 ha.  <\/p><p>  It is classified as a &#8220;Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest&#8221; (ZNIEFF). In addition to its beaches, <strong>La Capte<\/strong> boasts a number of shops in the village center and a harbor that welcomes hundreds of boats throughout the year.   <\/p><p>Don&#8217;t hesitate to <strong>visit the Provencal market at La Capte<\/strong>, with its hundred or so stalls. Here, you&#8217;ll find local culinary products and handicrafts. Every Sunday, the Capte hosts a flea market. Hy\u00e8res is renowned for its spas and thalassotherapy.     <\/p><p id=\"12328\">Camping Clair de Lune was the first establishment to open <a href=\"https:\/\/acampa-vacances.com\/en\/activities-to-do-in-giens\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"12328\">a private spa in Giens<\/a>, a stone&#8217;s throw from Capte Hy\u00e8res.
