This important grouping of the Var&#8217;s high villages is the fruit of a network of solidarity, enabling the communities to live in dignity, honoring their local traditions, nature and Provencal culture. <\/p><p>Thanks to its strong symbolism (sun, vacations, conviviality, nature of the hinterland),<strong> &#8220;Les Pays de la Provence Verte&#8221; has earned the appellation of &#8220;Unexpected Provence&#8221;. <\/strong> <\/p><p>It now comprises four communities of communes:<strong> Comt\u00e9 de Provence, Saint-Baume-Mont-Aur\u00e9lien, Val d&#8217;Issole and Provence Verdon<\/strong>.<\/p><h2>Provence County  <\/h2><p><strong>The Comt\u00e9 de Provence<\/strong>, located in the heart of the region, was formed in 2002 and today comprises a number of communes you&#8217;ve probably already heard of.<\/p><p>The head office of this community of communes is located in the center of the authentic village of Brignoles, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/maps\/place\/Communaut%C3%A9+de+Communes+Comte+de+Provence\/@43.3203562,5.4721207,9z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12c96ddf4683ee3d:0x2516867f32f8c221!8m2!3d43.4068414!4d5.9244067\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">about 1 hour from the <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/maps\/place\/Communaut%C3%A9+de+Communes+Comte+de+Provence\/@43.3203562,5.4721207,9z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12c96ddf4683ee3d:0x2516867f32f8c221!8m2!3d43.4068414!4d5.9244067\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Gien peninsula<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/maps\/place\/Communaut%C3%A9+de+Communes+Comte+de+Provence\/@43.3203562,5.4721207,9z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12c96ddf4683ee3d:0x2516867f32f8c221!8m2!3d43.4068414!4d5.9244067\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>s<\/strong><\/a>. At certain times of the year, don&#8217;t miss the chestnut festival or the harvest from local producers. <\/p><\/div><\/div><h2>Val d&#8217;Issole<\/h2><p><strong>The Val d&#8217;Issole<\/strong>, located in the south of the Provence region, was formed in 2017. It is made up of <strong>authentic villages<\/strong> that seek to highlight their local tradition and culture.   <\/p><p>The head office, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.fr\/maps\/place\/Communaut%C3%A9+de+Communes+Val+Issole\/@43.3244657,5.997526,13z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x12c96ca44ebdeafb:0xd85c987eb2cdce18!8m2!3d43.3396165!4d5.9765458?shorturl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">just a 52-minute drive from the Presqu&#8217;\u00eele de Giens<\/a>, is located in the commune of <strong>La Roquebrussanne<\/strong>.
