What to see and do in Toulon

Numerous boat companies organize sea excursions from Toulon harbor, ranging from crossing the Rade by waterbus to the island of Porquerolles and cruises to Corsica. On the quayside, you’ll find a national naval museum that recounts the city’s maritime history.

As for the town itself, you can take a short ride on the tourist train. The experience promises to be authentic and unforgettable, allowing you to admire the statue of the Genius of Navigation, Pierre Puget’s Atlantes, the Clock Tower, the Porte de l’Arsenal, the sculpture boat, the Place de la Liberté, the Notre-Dame-de-la Seds Cathedral, the Porte d’Italie, the Tour Royale and Fort Saint-Louis.
You can also stroll around Provence’s largest market, Cours Lafayette.
