Porquerolles and its heavenly beaches

Located in the Port-Cros National Park, Porquerolles is the largest of the 3 Golden Islands in the Gulf of Hyères. It’s also the one with the most beautiful beaches!

Porquerolles beach: Notre Dame

Notre Dame beach is the jewel of the island. In fact, it was voted Europe’s most beautiful beach in 2015! From the village, it’s a 45-minute walk. That’s why it’s so seldom visited. It’s the ideal beach for relaxing by the sea, sunbathing and swimming!

Beachde Porquerolles: la Courtade

Surrounded by a pine and eucalyptus forest, this is THE largest beach on the island. Just a 10-15 minute walk from the village, it’s the most popular beach. Thanks to its shallow waters, it’s perfect for swimming with children.

Beach de Porquerolles: the Langoustier

This beach is located at the western end of the island, 4.5 km from the village. You can reach it in 45 minutes by bike. The beach is sheltered from the wind and swell. Near the beach is the Langoustier fort.

Langoustier black beach in Porquerolles

This beach is located to the south of Plage du Langoustier. It can be reached in 50 to 90 minutes from the village. It is sheltered from the wind and its special feature is its black sand.

Plage d’Argent in Porquerolles

With its crystal-clear waters and fine sand, it’s one of the island’s most popular beaches. With its shallow waters, it’s the ideal beach for young and old alike! It’s a 25-minute walk or 10-minute bike ride from the village.

The Brégançonnet cove in Porquerolles

Bordered by a magnificent pine forest, this cove offers a natural, soothing setting, ideal for finding peace and relaxation. If you’re an avid scuba diver, this is the place to be.

To reach these beautiful calanques, from the port of Porquerolles, take the Chemin du Langoustier (towards Plage d’Argent), and after just over a kilometer, turn left.

Calanque de l’Oustaou-de-Diou, Porquerolles

The calanques de l’Oustaou-de-Diou are on the other side of the port, between two cliffs. This very narrow cove offers a pleasant view. Arrive early to be sure of finding a spot during the summer!
