Le Domaine d’Héliopolis – Île du Levant – Var 83
Ile du Levant is located to the east of the archipelago. Part of the island is inaccessible, as it is occupied by the Direction Générale de l’Armement. Only the west coast can be visited. Here you’ll find Domaine Héliopolis, a world-famous naturist resort.
Bathing on the island’s only beach, Grottes du Levant, is exclusively naturist.
The Arbousiers reserve
The Réserve des Arbousiers is a Regional Nature Reserve covering 20 hectares to the north of the island’s naturist domain. It offers an extraordinary, breathtaking panorama from the Alps to the Sainte-Baume.
This reserve abounds in Mediterranean island vegetation. The high maquis is made up of myrtle, wild olive and pistachio trees… while the coastal fringe is made up of euphorbia and crista-marina… The fauna is not to be outdone. You’re sure to come across migratory and sedentary birds, as well as harmless reptiles (snakes, lizards, etc.).
