Autumn on the Presqu’île de Giens
Autumn has slowly but surely arrived on the coast. The days may be getting shorter, but they’re still relatively warm.
The season means that you can continue to enjoy a wide range of activities and discover the Hyeres coastline in a whole new way. For young and old, the hyper-active or the more relaxed among you, the Presqu’île is overflowing with things to do and see.
A hike to take in the sights.
At this time of year, the Presqu’île is emptied of visitors, and it’s clearly more pleasant to visit. The walker in you will appreciate the coastal path. Coves and beaches as far as the eye can see, islands not far from the coast, shady spots to rest and enjoy the restful landscape.
A great way to recharge your batteries in the mild weather of the Hyeres basin. This loop, which takes just a few hours to complete, will dazzle you with its rich natural beauty. To begin, you’ll need to set off from La Madrague and follow the entire coastline, passing through Pointe des Chevaliers, Pain de Sucre and Port Niel.
Escape to the sound of chirping birds, lapping waves and the light sensation of warmth on your skin. Autumn, with its complex mix of softness, coolness and warmth, is the perfect season for hiking.

Water activities to suit all tastes.
The sea offers many different activities. You can visit the coast not only by land, but also by sea. You can have a paddle or kayak at your disposal and embark for a few hours of discovering the coast from the other side.
When you sign up for a Divin ‘Giens diving experience, you’ll be able to discover breathtaking marine flora and fauna. The Hyeres basin is extremely rich and its biodiversity has always fascinated. If you’re more sporty, try kitesurfing or windsurfing with the Spinout sailing school.
At the spot de l’Almanarre, it’s a breathtaking spectacle! When the wind’s right, you can watch a ballet of sails that goes on for hours. Don’t forget your picnic to enjoy it and fill up on vitamin D.
The Tour Fondue opens the doors to the Îles d’Or.
Have you ever visited the island of Porquerolles? It’s the best-known of the Golden Isles. It is now part of the Port-Cros National Park. You can get there by boat from the Tour Fondue, also known as the Pradeau battery, which has been owned by the Parc National de Port-Cros since 1991.
The island is a listed site and offers a wide range of activities. To discover the island in a different way, we recommend renting a bike and taking the dedicated trails. You’ll come across numerous coves where you can rest, cool off and admire the never-ending spectacle. Despite the autumnal season, the water hasn’t lost any of its superb beauty, and the turquoise blue is as enchanting as ever.
You won’t have time to get bored during your stay on the Presqu’île de Giens. At Camping International we’ll be welcoming you all autumn so you can make the most of all these activities.
