The 2024 Olympics come to Hyères (Var 83)

Summer 2024: the world will rally to the exploits of athletes at the Paris Olympic Games. Hyères is getting ready to celebrate this grandiose event by welcoming the Olympic flame on May 10, 2024! Your campsite awaits you to celebrate this global event in style.

Le Var…Passage of the Olympic flame

Between May 8 and July 26, 2024, the Olympic flame will illuminate numerous French venues. It will make a stopover in Toulon, then pass through La Seyne-sur-Mer, La Garde, Hyères, Flassans-sur-Issole, Brignoles, Les Salles-sur-Verdon and Saint-Raphaël. On May 10, the flame will reach Hyères and its famous Route du Sel (Almanarre).

Hyères …at the heart of sporting exploits

The town of Hyères has been named “Land of Games 2024” by the Games Organizing Committee. This is a great reward, as the town has always promoted sporting activities among its residents. With an exceptional stretch of water, its infrastructures and its various championships (Olympic Sailing Week, Europa Cup Laser, French Sailing and Kite Surfing Championships…). As part of the 2024 Olympic Games, Hyères welcomed the French para-cycling track team and the German track team for their training at the Hyères velodrome. The town is at the heart of the sporting exploits.
