The 2024 Olympic Games come to Hyères

The city is preparing to welcome the Olympic flame on May 10, 2024, and your campsite is opening its doors to you to celebrate this historic occasion in style.

The Olympic flame invites itself to the Var

From May 8 to July 26, 2024, the Olympic flame will shine at numerous venues across France.

Its journey will include a stopover in Toulon, before passing through La Seyne-sur-Mer, La Garde, Hyères, Flassans-sur-Issole, Brignoles, Les Salles-sur-Verdon and Saint-Raphaël.

On May 10, Hyères and its famous Route du Sel (Almanarre) will be honored by the passing of the flame.

Hyères… at the heart of sporting exploits

Hyères has been designated “Land of Games 2024” by the Games Organizing Committee, a distinction deserved for its commitment to promoting sport among its residents.

What’s more, benefiting from an exceptional stretch of water and top-quality infrastructures, the town has hosted a number of championships, including the Semaine Olympique de Voile and the Europa Cup Laser.

In addition, as part of the 2024 Olympic Games, Hyères was the training venue for the French para-cycling track team and the German track cycling team, reinforcing its reputation as a leading sports destination.
